Our commitment to safer recruitment practices

All teachers with UK DfE Teacher Reference Numbers (TRN) are subject to full Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) Prohibition Order Checks before being submitted to partner schools for consideration.

We offer 3 main recruitment services to partner schools:

Direct advertising (all schools)

Attract teachers by advertising on our website, social media channels and directly to our pool of over 1000 teachers interested in teaching abroad. Have applications sifted by your ESP Account Manager before interviewing and appointing candidates directly. We have a range of flexible advertising options available ranging from adverts for single hard to fill vacancies through to annual subscriptions for significant recruitment.

ECT recruitment and UK university promotion (BSO and aspiring BSO schools)

BSO schools are afforded the unique opportunity of recruiting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) from the UK and supporting them through their statutory induction. However this often comes with significant advertising and placement costs for schools. As one of the leading international Appropriate Body and ITT providers, ESP work in partnership with an extensive number of Universities on a daily basis, and as a result are able to offer BSO schools a unique ECT recruitment and University Engagement support package that will significantly reduce the time, money and effort linked to ECT recruitment.

The channels for communication have changed significantly over the last 18 months and people are much more comfortable and familiar with digital methods of recruitment. This service offers BSO and Aspiring BSO schools the opportunity to host digital recruitment sessions for our pool of trainees drawn from our partner Universities throughout the UK. Through your named Account Manager, ESP will drive a dynamic ECT sourcing, sifting and selection process that delivers partner schools a high calibre pool of candidates for interview. Your jobs will also appear on the ESP recruitment portal that is accessed by students throughout the country, alongside University job boards and digital communications.

You will have a named Account Manager at ESP who will act as your recruitment partner and liaise with you about up and coming roles. They will work with you on a strategy for promoting ECT vacancies across the UK, identifying and sifting candidates and post-offer onboarding to your school.

Direct candidate sourcing (all schools)

Work with your ESP Account Manager on finding candidates for specific posts. Receive a range of quality assured, ESP vetted CVs for consideration. Go ahead and interview as many candidates as you wish either online or in person ahead of appointing to posts within your school. Placement fees only apply once a candidate completes their first half-term of employment in your school.
